Puff balls: The Puff Balls grow to giant size from softball , basketball or larger. Puff balls are found in rich soil in damp places in the timber, along fence lines and ditches. They are found in late September and October. They are white and have skins like kid glove. Make sure they are fresh and white all the way through.

1 Take skin off.
2.Cut into 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick slices
3. Soak in milk for awhile
4. Roll into cracker crumbs.
5. In large frying pan on medium heat fry puff balls until golden brown on both sides.
6. Sprinkle with a little salt and serve.
