3/4 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 eggs
2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sweet milk
6 tablespoons cocoa
1 cup boiling water.
Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, sugar, and eggs. Add vanilla and sweet milk. Blend together flour, salt, and soda. Add flour mixture into wet mixture until well mixed. Add 6 tablespoons of cocoa to 1 cup boiling water and mix together well. Add to cake mixture. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
