1 pint strawberries, washed and hulled
2 (8-ounce containers) whipped cream cheese
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup maple syrup
6 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
butter
powered sugar and/or maple syrup
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1 loaf texas toast

Directions:
Slice strawberries. (egg slicer will do it quickly) In small
bowl mix syrup and cream cheese, fold in walnuts. In larger bowl mix together eggs, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. Set aside. Spread cream cheese mixture thickly onto 6 slices of bread. Then a layer of sliced strawberries. Top with additional slice of bread. Melt pat of butter onto griddle over medium heat (cooking spray works too). Dip each sandwich into egg batter. Cook on
griddle until brown, turning once. Wipe griddle between batches. Serve warm with powered sugar or syrup.
