1 (17.5 ounce) package crispy rice cereal
1 cup margarine
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (14 ounce) package individually wrapped caramels, unwrapped
2 (10.5 ounce) packages large marshmallows

Directions:
Directions:
1. Line a baking sheet with waxed paper. Pour the crispy rice cereal into a large bowl.
2. Combine the margarine, sweetened condensed milk, and caramels in the top of a double boiler. Stirring constantly, cook over lightly simmering water until melted and combined, about 5 minutes.
3. Use a wooden skewer to dip each marshmallow in the hot caramel mixture. Immediately roll caramel coated marshmallow in the crispy rice cereal. Remove from skewer and place on the waxed paper to harden.

I made these for my students at school. It makes a lot. My original recipe called for burnt sugar extract and butter extract but these extracts are very difficult to fine.
