2 tsp. vegetable cooking oil
1 lb. sirloin or round steak, boneless, cut in thin strips, all visible fat removed
2 tsp. vegetable cooking oil
2 green peppers, cut in strips
1 medium onion, cut in strips
1 c. diced celery
1 c. canned tomatoes

1/4 tsp.garlic powder
1/4 tsp. ginger
1-1/4oz beef bouillon packet ((35% less salt)
2 c. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1/3 c. water
1/4 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. light soy sauce
1 tbsp. cooking sherry

Directions:
Directions:
Heat first amount of cooking oil in frying pan. Add beef. Fry until browned well. Remove to 2-quart (2.5L) casserole. Add 2nd amount of cooking oil to pan. Add green peppers, onions and celery. Saute until onion is clear. Add to casserole.

Add next 9 ingredients to casserole. Cover and cook in 350ºF oven for 1 hour or more until meat is very tender. Makes 4 servings.
