2 tbsp (30 mL) custard powder, such as Bird's Custard Powder
2 tbsp (30 mL) granulated sugar
1 cup (250 mL) whipping cream
1/2 cup (125 mL) homogenized milk
2 tbsp (30 mL) orange-flavoured liqueur (optional)
1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla
1 cup (250 mL) small strawberries or raspberries
6 to 8 baked homemade tart shells (about 3 in [7.5 cm] wide) or 12 store-bought frozen tarts shells from a 225-g pkg
Add to grocery list Wild strawberries are the perfect filling for these dainty tarts, if you can find them. Conventional strawberries (the smaller the better) or raspberries will also work just fine.
