2 cup finely crushed chocolate cookies
3 Tbsp. butter, melted
6 oz. squares bittersweet or semi-sweet chocolate
14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
2 - 4 Tbsp. espresso granules
1 1/2 qt. chocolate ice cream
3/4 c. toasted sliced almonds, divided

Directions:

Combine 1 1/2 c. cookie crumbs with butter and press into 9" springform pan;
freeze 15 minutes.
Heat chocolate, sweetened condensed milk & expresso in small saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently, until chocolate is melted; let cool about 15 minutes.
Spoon 1/2 chocolate ice cream into prepared pan, pressing to form an even layer.
Evenly top with chocolate mixture, then sprinkle with 1/2 cup almonds. Freeze 15 minutes or until chocolate is set.
Spoon in remaining Ice cream, pressing to form and even layer.
Cover and freeze 4 hours.
Just before serving remove sides from pan and coat sides of torte with the remaining cookie crumbs and sprinkle with rest of almonds.
