1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1 tsp cinnamon
2 cups oatmeal
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1/3 cup buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla
nuts,date or raisins can be added

Sift flour, soda, salt and cinnamon
Then add remaining ingredients one at a time with electric mixer.

There was no temp or baking time. I would say 350 for 10-12 min. I found this recipe in Vi's cookbook.
