1 stick butter or margarine
1 10 oz. bag Mrs. Weiss' extra fine noodles or 1 bag of Manischewitz extra fine yolkless noodles
2 cups Minute rice
3 tsp. dry chicken soup powder
3 tsp. dry onion soup powder
5 1/2 c. water
1 tsp. soy sauce

Melt butter or margarine in a large pot. Brown uncooked noodles, carefully stirring to prevent burning. Add rice and mix well. Combine dry soups and hot water and pour in pot. Stir, and add soy sauce. Pour into 3 quart casserole and bake covered for 45 minutes at 350º

Dry soup powder can be replaced with 2 cans of chicken broth and 2 cans of onion soup. Do not dilute the soup! Reduce water from 5 1/2 cups to 1/2 cup. Aaron, Ethan and Ellie inhale this so 1 recipe is not too much for the 7 of us. Leftover rice freezes well!
