Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Cake:

1/4 lb. butter or shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Topping:

1/4 c. sugar
1 T. cinnamon
2 T. chooped nuts (optional)
Couple of handfuls of Nestle (or other brand) chocolate morsels (optional but definitely makes it better!)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º

Mix sugar & cinnamon together in a small bowl & set aside for topping. (I find these measurements don't have to be precise-we use a cinnamon & sugar mixture we already have made in the kitchen for pancakes, etc.)

Cake batter:
In a small bowl, combine sour cream and baking soda and mix briefly with spoon. Set aside.

In another bowl, cream butter & sugar. Add eggs.

Add sour cream mixture to butter & sugar mixture & blend well. Add flour & baking powder. Blend in vanilla.

Pour 1/2 of batter into greased 9 inch square pan. Sprinkle 1/2 topping over batter and liberally toss in nuts and/or chocolate chips as desired. Pour in rest of batter. Sprinkle with rest of topping and some more nuts and/or chocolate chips.

Bake 375º for 40 mins or until brown and fork comes out mostly clean.
