Personal Notes:
Aunt Lydie would serve this delicious mustard sauce with baked ham at the annual Christmas party she held for family at her home in the Vermilion Lagoons. The tradition of the Christmas grab bag was started here. This tradition formed many fond memories for the children and as well as consternation. The very randomness of the grab bag resulted in some hilarious gift mismatches such a man getting a hair net or little boy getting latest in wrinkle cream. Trading went on between guests for the rest of the evening until every one had something they could use.
