1 c butter
1 1/3 c granulated sugar
2 c all purpose flour
1 1/2 t baking powder
2 egg yolks

For Topping:
1 c brown sugar
1 c chopped nuts
1 t vanilla
2 egg whites
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks. Mix well. Sift flour with baking powder and add to mixture. Spread batter evenly in a greased 13x9x2 inch pan.
For topping, beat egg whites until peaks form. Add brown sugar, nuts and vanilla. Spread over first batter. Bake for 30 minutes or until crusty. Cool and cut into bars.
