1/2 lb beef, pork or lamb liver
1 small onion
3/4 tsp salt
1 egg
1 tbsp melted fat( I imagine you can use vegetable oil)
1 c soft breadcrumbs
clear tomato soup or meat broth

Directions:
Directions:
Remove membrane from liver and put liver and onion through food mill, using a fine blade. Add salt, egg, fat and crumbs and mix well. Drop by teaspoons into boiling broth. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Makes 20 dumplings
