2 lb. ground beef
1 loaf french or italian bread
1 2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 onion, minced
1 green pepper, minced
1 1/2 tsp seasoned salt
1/2 tsp pepper
few dashes garlic powder
1 large egg
softened butter
1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Cut the bread lengthwise. Scoop out the bread leaving the crust as a shell on one piece. Butter the other piece and set it aside. Combine the pieces of bread with the milk and set aside 10 minutes. Combine rest of ingredients and mix well. Add in the bread/milk mix. Put mixture into scooped out bread shell. Put on baking sheet which is covered with parchment paper. Bake at 350º for 60 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and cover with the top of the loaf of bread. Bake for 5 more minutes. ( Cover with foil if bread starts to darken too much)
