1/4 c butter
1/2 c brown sugar, packed
2 tbsp half & half or milk
1 c powdered sugar, sifted

Melt butter in saucepan. Add brown sugar and boil over low heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add milk and return to a boil, then remove from heat and cool. Stir in powdered sugar, then beat with electric mixer until thick enough to spread.
