1 - 4 lb chcken
1 T salt
3 C green beans (cooked and salted)
20 single saltine crackers, crushed
1 C aged Cheddar cheese, grated
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 soup can chicken broth
1/2 tsp dry onion flakes
1/4 C slivered almonds
3 T melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Wash chicken and place in large kettle with 2 quarts water and salt. Simmer (covered) until tender. Remove chicken from kettle/broth and cool. Remove chicken from bones and cut in bite-size pieces. Turn oven to 350º. Grease 13x9 pan and arrange beans over bottom. Arrange half the chicken over beans. Add half the cracker crumbs, then half the cheese. Place remaining chicken over the cheese. Combine soup, broth, onion flakes and remaining cheese and pour over chicken. Put remaining cracker crumbs over top, sprinkle almonds over crumbs. Drizzle with melted butter. Bake 30 minutes.
