1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1c. soft butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar

2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
4-6 tblsp. half and half

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg, vanilla and almond extract. Add dry ingredients. Divide dough in half and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Roll out on floured surface and cut with various cookie cutters. Bake at 375 for 6-8 minutes.

When cool, mix icing. Spread on cookies and let harden a bit before storing.
