2 cups cooked dried apples (about 1 3/4 cup chopped)
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 10oz cans flaky biscuits or rolled out prepared pie crust
vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
Combine apples and water to cover in a medium sauce pan. Cook over medium heat 10-15 minutes or until tender. Add sugar and next 3 ingredients; stir well and adjust to taste.

Separate biscuits; roll each portion into a 5 inch circle on a lightly floured surface. Place about 2 tablespoons apple mixture on one half of each circle. To seal pie, dip finger in water and moisten edges of circle; fold in half making SURE edges are sealed.

Heat oil to medium heat and fry pies slowly until lightly browned on both sides
