1 Kg Fish
3 Cloves
2 Cinnamon stick
3 Cardamom
3 Onion sliced
1 inch Ginger sliced
8 Green chilly slit
2 Tomato cut into cubes
5-6 tbsp Cooking oil
4 tbsp Coconut powder mixed in water (thin)
2 tbsp Coconut powder mixed in water (thick)
Salt to taste.

Masala for fish:
1 tbsp Chilly powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp pepper powder, 1/2 tsp each ginger & garlic paste, salt.

Cut fish into medium pieces - add masala and leave it for 30 min.
Fry the fish and keep aside.
Heat oil in pan, add clove, cinnamon stick & cardamom - then add the chopped onion, ginger and fry till brown, add thin coconut milk and let it boil for 5 to 6 min. on medium heat, add fried fish, tomato and boil for 2 to 3 min. last add thick coconut milk and let it boil for 2 min.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
