1st bowl: Beat after each addition:
6 egg whites
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. sugar
**Beat until stiff
2nd Bowl: Beat after each addition:
6 egg yolks
1/2 c. sugar
4 tblsp. cocoa
4 tblsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
*Take both mixtures and fold together. Grease jelly roll pan with crisco. Spread mixture and bake at 325 for 20-25 minutes.
When done, sprinkle confec. sugar on dish towel and turn out over towel. Sprinkle confec. sugar on cake and roll up at long end.
When cool. unroll and spread with whipped cream. Re-roll. Ice with chocolate icing

My Mom is famous for a lot of things and this is defintely one of them. She uses the chocolate icing recipe on the back of the Hershey's Cocoa can!
