2 lbs marrow beans
3 large onions, sliced
1 14oz bottle of ketchup
3 oz vinegar
2 tsp salt(optional)
1 lb sliced bacon

Directions:
Directions:
Rinse, then soak beans overnight in a 3 quart bowl. Place the beans (undrained) in a large roasting pan. Cover with onions, then ketchup. Rinse the ketchup bottle with the vinegar and pour it over all. Place the bacon, unseparated, on top. Cover and cook for 2 hours at 350º. Stir the onions and bacon into the beans. Cover and cook 2-3 more hours, until the beans are tender.
