1 c. pumpkin
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. scalded milk
2 eggs beaten
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:

Mix well and pour into a unbaked pie crust. Bake at 450º for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350º and bake for 50 minutes or until a knife removes clean.

This recipe was given to me in 1970 by my Mom, Esther Fogarty. She got it from her mother in law, Mabel Fogarty, in 1946. It is the best I have ever eaten and the only recipe I will use for pumpkin pie. We hope you enjoy it enough to carry on the tradition.
