1 lb. lean beef (sirloin tip or inside round
3 cooking onions (sliced)
2 cups oil for deep frying
2 garlic cloves (minced )
2 slices ginger (minced )
2-6 dry chill peppers (optional)

Beef Marinade
1 tbsp. wine
1/2 tsp salt
1tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 cup water
2 tsp cornstarch
3 tbsp oil ( add before cooking only

Sauce
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp wine
1 tsp sugar
1-2 tsp curry powder
2 tsp - 1 1/4 tbsp satay sauce ( to taste)
4 tbsp broth or water
salt to taste
3/4 tsp corn starch

Directions:
Directions:
Slice beef diagonally (1/6 x 2 inches) Pound both sides and marinate with marinade for 2 hours. (except for oil which is added at the end before cooking).

Mix sauce to get ready.

Heat 2 cups of oil in Wok. Deep fry beef until about 60% done.

Heat another Wok - add 2 tbsp oil ginger, garlic and onions and stir fry few seconds until onions are transparent. Add Sauce. Return beef and mix well. Add cornstarch, if necessary to thicken.

Note
Put cast iron steak plate in oven for 10 minutes. Pour beef into plate and SERVE HOT

Well worth the trouble. I have doubled the steak and it worked out just fine.
