Directions:
Spread bread slices onto a large jelly roll pan. Spread top side of slices with butter or margarine. Sprinkle liberally with seasoning. Broil under broiler in oven until golden, watching carefully so as not to burn. SOFT BREAD VARIATION: Don't slice the bread. Instead, split the loaf lengthwise, not quite all the way through to the other long side. Spread inside of bread liberally with butter or margarine and sprinkle liberally with seasoning. Wrap loaf tightly in foil and bake at 400º for about 20 minutes, or until heated through. If desired, grated cheddar cheese and sliced pickled jalapeño peppers can be added inside the bread before heating in the oven.
