Oil for frying
1 c yellow cornmeal
1/2 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 15-oz can cream style corn
1/2 c chopped onion
3 jalapeņo peppers, seeded and diced
Directions:
Directions:
Heat oil over medium-high heat in a deep pan. Combine all remaining ingredients, stirring until just mixed and no lumps of dry ingredients remain. Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot oil and fry until golden. Remove from oil with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
