Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 Whole Roasting Chicken
1Can of your Favourite Beer
Dozen Carrots
Dozen Potatoes
Dozen Onions small
Salt and Pepper

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat your BBQ grill to high.
Meanwhile season the chicken well with
plain salt and pepper or with your favourite
spice rub.

2. Cube the carrots potatoes and onions and place on a
roasting tray, add salt and pepper to taste.
3. Open the can of beer and take a big gulp :-)
Perch the chicken onto the open beer can,
sliding the can inside the cavity so the bird is sitting
upright balanced on its legs with wings at the top.
There is a professional stand youcan buy if you like gadgets!
3.Place the chicken on the baking tray with the
vegetables all around. Place the tray on one
side of the grill turning the heat to low on that
side, leaving the heat on medium high in the
rest of the grill. Close the lid forming an oven
and roast until the chicken reaches that gold
brown appearance and turn the vegetables
often in the juice from chicken. Remember to
rotate the chicken to face the heat. It usually
takes four rotations to get the chicken brown all
around. I use 20 minutes per side. Depends on
the heat, so check often.

Personal Notes:
I puncture a few extra holes on top of the can, to allow the beer to evaporate more into the chicken. This way of preparing the bird makes it very tender. I bake potatoes on the hot side at the same time. See recipe.
