1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 T. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º.

In large bowl of electric mixer, beat butter, sugar and eggs thoroughly. In a separate bowl, sift flour cream of tartar, soda and salt. Mix by cupful into soft batter until well blended.

Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Roll dough balls in cinnamon/sugar until evenly coated. Place 2" apart on parchment lined baking sheet. Bake 8 - 10 minutes. Cookies will puff up, then flatten. They will harden as they cool.
