6 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. butter
2 T. vanilla or anise
Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter at set aside to cool. Preheat pizzelle iron. Beat eggs, adding sugar gradually, until smooth. Add cooled butter and vanilla or anise. Sift together flour and baking powder. Add egg mixture and stir together. Dough should be sticky enough to drop from spoon.

Lightly oil pizzelle iron and drop dough by spoonful. Cook until golden brown, then remove to cool on waxed paper.
