3/4 lb. beef sirloin or round steak
2 T. butter
1/4 lb. mushrooms, sliced
1 onion, diced
1/2 c. water
1 beef bouillon cube
1 T. catsup
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. water
1 T. flour
1/2 c. sour cream
1 pkg. noodles, cooked, drained and buttered

Cut meat into strips. Melt butter in skillet; cook and stir mushrooms and onion until tender. Remove vegetables from skillet. In the same pan, brown meat over medium heat. Stir in 1/2 c. water, the bouillion cube, catsup, garlic and salt. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 15 minutes or 45 minutes if using round steak. If necessary, add small amount of water.

While meat simmers, cook and drain noodles. Toss with 1 T. butter.

Mix 1/4 c. water and the flour. Stir into meat mixture. Add mushrooms and onion. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in sour cream and heat through. Serve over noodles.
