3 cups of milk
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of flour
1 Tablespoons butter
3 eggs separated
1 tsp. vanilla
coconut
drained peaches
Whipping whites you will need 3 tablespoons of sugar and 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 deep dish pie shell-precook

Double boiler

Directions:
Directions:
Heat water in the bottom of the double boiler, place top on then add flour and sugar, stir to mix evenly. Slowly add milk to prevent clumps. Heat over a medium high heat constantly stirring with a spoon(it will stick and burn on the bottom of the pan. It will take about 15-20 minutes for it to thicken. Then add 3 mixed egg yolk while continuing to stir for an additional 5 minutes. Add butter, stir until melted. Remove from the stove and take top of double boiler off set aside to cool. Add vanilla. If you are making a coconut cream pie add desirable amount. Pour into precooked pie shell set aside while you whip up the egg whites. Place egg whites into a bowl continually mix adding sugar as it thickens, usually 3 Tablespoons of sugar, add 1/2 tsp. vanilla. Whip until stiff, then place on top of pie, put in oven cook until light brown.(peaks will be darker) Using the spoon make peaks in the whipped egg whites.

If making a peach cream pie, drain the peaches, put 1/2 of the mixture into pie shell, add peaches, then add the rest of the mixture. Whip egg whites as described above, place on top and place in oven to brown the whites.(peaks should be darker)
