1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
2 t. baking powder
1/2 t, salt
1 t. cinnamon
1 c. dates, cut into pieces
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
1/2 t. vanilla
1/4 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Stir all ingredients together, drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes in 350º oven.

This recipe came from our grandmother, Zephra Sproul who married our grandfather, Charles Barrett Sproul; the man our son Barret Charles Mack (Barry) is named after.
