2 T butter, at room temperature
1 1/2 t vanilla extract
2 T light or heavy cream, or more
dash salt
1 1/2 C sifted confectioners' sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the butter until soft and beat in vanilla extract, cream, and salt. Gradually beat in the sugar and beat until mixture is of spreading consistency and creamy. If necessary, beat in a little more cream, 1/2 t at a time. (It is extremely easy to beat too much liquid into an icing that will then run.)
