1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar plus extra for rolling
2 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp water
2 cups flour
1 cup pecans, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light a fluffy. stir in vanilla, water, flour and pecans mixing until well blended, using a large wooden spoon or hands. Refrigerate dough for several hours or overnight. Preheat oven to 350º F. Firmly press dough into 1" balls placing on an ungreased pan 1" apart. Press to flatten balls before baking. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until cookies are set but not brown. While cookies are still warm, gently roll in powdered sugar and cool on wire racks. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
