1 1/2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 c. shortening
3 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
6 large ripe bananas
1 c. nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar, butter and shortening. Beat in eggs then stir in bananas and rest of ingredients. Bake 1 - 1 1/2 hours in 350 degree oven. Makes two 1-lb loaves or three smaller loaves.

I also like to add 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon and 1/2 tsp. of nutmeg.
