1 3/4 c. cake flour divided
3/4 lb. candied cherries
1 lb. candied pineapple
4 c. pecans
1 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 c. sugar
5 lg. eggs
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine 3/4 c. flour, cherries, pineapple and pecans. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add baking powder to 1 c. flour; blend into creamed mixture. Stir in vanilla. Fold in fruits and nuts. Line the bottom of a 10" tube pan or two rectangle bread pans. Grease and flour sides of pan. Spoon batter into prepared pan. Start in a cold oven, bake at 250º for 3 hours.
