1/3 c sugar
2 Tbs margarine
1/4 c corn starch
1 tsp vanilla
2 3/4 c milk
1/8 tsp salt
2 1/2 Tbs peanut butter (creamy)
2-3 Tbs cocoa or 1/3 c chocolate syrup (or 1/2 of each blended together)
1 9 inch pie crust

Mix sugar, corn starch and salt in large saucepan. Gradually add milk stirring well. Put over medium heat and bring to a boil. Stir constantly and boil 1 minute. REmove from heat and add margarine and vanilla. Blend well. Return to stove on low heat and stir in peanut butter. Stir constantly until peanut butter is melted. Should be a beige color. Remove from heat. Separate 1/2 c of this mixture. In the 1/2 c add the cocoa/syrup. Should be a rich milk chocolate color. Pour filling in crust and then add the cocoa mixture to peanut mixture. With the back of spoon "pull" the chocolate mixture out towards - but not touching - the crust all around making starburst design. Chill in refrigerator. Cool to firm.
