Doris' Banana Pudding Recipe

3 c. milk
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 stick of butter
3 eggs
3/4 tsp. vanilla
3 T. flour
dash of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cook on top of stove over medium / medium high heat (do not boil, or milk will scorch). Continuously stir with wire wisk until pudding thickens. Let cool for 10 - 15 minutes. Cover the bottom of an oven proof pan with nilla wafers and cut 2 - 3 bananas on top of them. Pour the pudding in next.

TOPPING:
4 egg whites
3 T. granulated sugar
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar

Whip until thick and fluffy, pour on top of pudding and bake in 400º oven for 5 minutes or until golden brown.

Eat warm or chill for a couple of hours.
