4 tablespoons butter, divided
1 (8 ounce) package sliced mushrooms
3 tablespoons flour
2 cups chicken broth
3 cups diced cooked chicken
1 cup milk or cream
2 tablespoons sherry
8 ounces thin spaghetti or vermicelli, broken into 2-3-inch pieces, cooked and drained
grated Parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 350º.

In medium saucepan, melt 1 tablespoon butter. Saute mushrooms until soft.

In another saucepan, melt remaining 3 tablespoons butter. Stir in flour. Stir in chicken broth. Cook and stir over low heat until thick and bubbly. Stir in mushrooms, chicken, milk and sherry.

Stir in spaghetti; spoon into large casserole dish. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake, covered, for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake until lightly browned.
