1 pkg dry yeast
2 1/4 cups flour
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1 egg
1/4 cup raisins
Filling:
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup pecans
Frosting:
2 tbsp butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 - 1 tsp evaporated milk

Directions:

Soften yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. Sift together flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in 1/2 cup butter. Add evaporated milk, egg and raisins. Cover and chill 2 hours or overnight.
Cream together filling ingredients. Divide dough into thirds. Roll out one part on floured surface to a 12x6 rectangle. Spread with 1/3 of the filling. Starting with the 12" side, roll up dough and seal. Place in crescent shape on cookie sheet lined with foil. Repeat with remaining dough. Let doughs rise in warm place until light, 30-45 minutes. Bake at 350º for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Frost while warm.
Frosting: Brown the butter. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla. Stir in evaporated milk until spreading consistency. Each cake will serve 2-3 people.
