Ingredients:
3 sticks butter or margarine
1 lb powdered sugar
6 eggs
1 lb (4 1/2 cups) all-purpose flour
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together. Beat until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time; beat well after each addition. Sift flour 3 times. Add flour gradually to batter. Add flavorings and mix well. Bake in 10" greased and floured tube or bundt pan in preheated oven at 325°F for 1 1/2 hours or until done. Cool four minutes, then invert onto plate.

Note: Since I couldn't ask the contributor about this recipe, I decided to research it on the internet. Apparently this recipe originated with the Imperial Sugar Company, and was found on boxes of powdered and brown sugar. The "1 lb" of flour was measured by filling the 1 lb sugar box with flour. The equivalent measure is about 4 1/2 cups of flour. Also, the recipe containing brown sugar is more correctly called the Amber Westerner. You can substitute the same amount of powdered sugar, and that recipe is the Golden Westerner.
