1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp shortening
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 cups chicken, cooked and diced
1 can chopped green chilies
12 corn tortillas

Directions:
Directions:
Sauté onion and garlic in shortening until tender. Stir in cornstarch, salt and pepper. Mix well. Add broth, chicken and green chilies. Cook until very thick and bubbly, stirring frequently. Dip tortillas in hot oil to soften. Spoon a heaping tablespoon chicken mixture in each tortilla, and roll to make flauta. Sauté a few at a time in hot oil, turning often, until crisp. Keep flautas warm until all are done. Serve with salsa.
