1/2 cup salt
1 Tbsp. powdered alum
2 cup water
2 Tbsp. salad oil
several drops of food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt and alum together very well, then set it aside. In a medium saucepan, bring the water and oil to a boil. Remove the pan from the heat and pour that hot liquid over the flour mixture. Stir it together until it's well mixed. Knead the dough with your hands until it's smooth. Color the dough by adding a few drops of food coloring, or divide the dough into several portions and color each one a different color. Store it in an air tight container when you're not using it

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I used unsweetened kool-aid to color and scent the dough. My kids loved it.
