1 C. Cocoa
2 C. Hot Water
2 C. Sugar
2 Eggs
6 Tbs. Shortening
2 C. Flour
2 tsp. Baking Soda
2 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 tsp. Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve Cocoa in hot water. Blend in sugar, eggs, and shortening. Sift the dry ingredients and add to the cocoa and sugar mixture. Add flour and mix well. Pour the batter into greased and floured cake pans.
Bake at 325º until a toothpick when inserted into the center comes out clean.
