1/2 cup crisco
2 sticks butter
3 cups sugar

ADD:
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp. lemon
5 eggs, beating in one at a time
3 c. all purpose flour
1 c. Carnation milk

Directions:
Bake 1 hour 40 minutes at 300º. MOST IMPORTANT turn on the oven when you put the cake in....DO NOT preheat.
