Directions:
Combine yeast, warm water and 1 t sugar in small bowl. Let stand about 5 min.

Combine 1 c sugar, hot milk, butter and salt. Add 2 c flour, stir until smooth. Stir in eggs, and yeast mixture. Slowly add about 3 1/2 c flour until dough becomes very stiff.

Turn dough onto a board sprinkled with about 1/2 c flour. Sprinkle a little flour on dough and knead quickly for about 5 min., adding flour as necessary to keep from sticking.

Cover and let rise in greased bowl in warm place until doubled.

Punch dough down; divide into ninths. Form each of 8 parts into round ball, place in shallow baking pan, and insert a tinted egg.

Roll ninth part into a 6x10" rectangle. Cut into 16 - 6-inch strips. Roll each strip into about 8" rounded strip. Form an X over each egg. Tuck ends under.

Let rise til double.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20 min.
