5 anchovies
1 egg (coddled)
1 tsp. coarse black pepper
1 tbsp. red wine vinegar
˝ c olive oil
2 tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
˝ c parmesan cheese
1 tsp. dry mustard
3 dashes Tabasco
3 dashes worchestershire sauce

Put all of the above in a blender and blend. Pour over 1 head of romaine that has been washed, torn and chilled. Top with freshly shaved parmesan.

Growing up in Southern California I learned to make the “original” ceasar which is a bit labor intensive. Then I discovered this recipe and haven’t looked back. It has become a family tradition for all occasions. I never need to ask what should I bring….the answer is always your Ceasar dressing!!
