1/4 cup butter, melted
3/4 cup + 2 tbsp. flour
1/3 cup icing sugar
Sprinkle of salt
2 tbsp. corn syrup
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
1 egg yolk
Flour for dusting

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 F. Line baking sheet with parchment.

In bowl sift together flour, icing sugar and salt. set aside. In another bowl combine melted butter, corn syrup and vanilla. Add yolk. mix well. Pour butter mixture into dry ingredients. Blend well. Knead smooth with hands.

On lightly dusted surface roll dough into 1/2" ropes. Shape pieces into letters. Place on baking sheet. Bake 10 - 12 minutes. Let cool on sheet. Decorate with coloured icing.

Icing:
1 cup icing sugar, sifted
1 tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. lemon juice
assorted food colourings

Mix together. Add desired colourings.
