1 stick butter
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 c. flour
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 c. confectioner's sugar
1 small tub of Cool Whip
Lg. pkg. of instant chocolate pudding, prepared according to pie recipe on box
Directions:
Directions:
Blend the butter, flour and pecans together and place on a large cookie sheet in a 350º oven to brown. Stir until all is evenly browned. Cool. Place in bottom of rectangular pan. Beat cream cheese and confectioner's sugar until well blended; add 1/2 of the Cool Whip. Layer this on top of the pecan mixture, followed by the prepared chocolate pudding. Top with the remaining 1/2 tub of Cool Whip. Chill well. If desired, garnish with pecans or chocolate bits.
