5 c flour 2 tbsp baking soda
1 tsp salt 1 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon 1 c molasses
1 c shortening 1 c sugar
1 c sour milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar and molasses together. Add sour milk and spices. Mix flour, soda, and salt together and add to creamed mixture. If necessary, add enough flour to make mixture stiff enough to roll. Cut in 3 inch circles. Place on cookie sheet and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 350 degrees.
