1 pkg yeast
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup chopped nuts
3 cups flour
3/4 cup scalded milk
1/4 cup warm water
1/4 cup raisins
1 egg beaten
1/2 cup butter
6 cherries cut up

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle yeast on water. Let stand a few minutes, stir till dissolved. Pour hot milk over 1/4 cup sugar, butter and salt. Cool to luke warm, add yeast, egg and half of the flour; beat well. Add enough flour to form soft dough that will not stick to bowl. Turn out on floured board and knead until smooth. Put in greased bowl, cover, let rise until double in bulk. Pinch down and let rise again. Roll out on floured board to form a rectangle 15x9". Spread with remaining sugar, cinnamon, raisins, nuts and cherries. Roll up from 15" side and shape in a ring on greased baking sheet. Seal ends tightly, pinch side together. Cut 2/3 way through ring at 1" intervals. turn each section slightly on side. Let rise until light (30 minutes). Bake in moderate oven (375) for 30 minutes. Frost with confectioners icing.
